Deborah Hughes Ndao, MPH
Deborah Hughes is the Program Manager of The Integrative Therapies Program for Children with Cancer. Deborah received her Bachelor degree in English with a Pre-medical concentration from Barnard College, Columbia University and her Master's in Public Health in Health Promotion in the Division of Sociomedical Sciences at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. Deborah manages patients’ complementary medicine care during and beyond cancer therapy and provides individual and group counseling and coaching on the application of mind/ body therapies, mindfulness meditation, aromatherapy, acupressure, and yoga. Deborah is also a certified Reiki Master and yoga instructor for children. Prior to her work at The Integrative Therapies Program, Deborah was a wellness educator for young adults at Barnard College. Deborah’s research interests lie in CAM and health care policy, program development and evaluation, health disparities, and traditional medicine use.
