International Initiatives

The Integrative Therapies Program for Children with Cancer collaborates both nationally and internationally on integrative medicine research and education initiatives. Currently, we are collaborating on a cross-sectional survey to determine traditional and complementary/ alternative medicine use among children diagnosed with cancer and being treated in the Unidad Nacional de Oncologia Pediatrica (UNOP), the single center in Guatemala providing conventional cancer treatment to children with cancer. Additionally, research projects are underway with the Prasanta Banerji Homeopathy Research Foundation, Kolkata, India, to determine the viability and feasibility of homeopathic remedies among children with brain tumors.
