Milk Thistle study cited by the New York Times in the article "The Claim: Milk Thistle is Good for the Liver"

 

Our study "A randomized, controlled, double-blind, pilot study of milk thistle for the treatment of hepatotoxicity in childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL)" is now published early online in CANCER . It is the first double-blind, randomized, controlled trial to provide preliminary evidence that milk thistle may be a safe, effective, supportive-care agent for cancer patients with hepatoxicity.
